>> Console arcade stick mod guides :: Thursday 17th August 2006
Off-the-shelf console arcade sticks often use cheap, inferior components to keep costs down. While this makes for nice cheap hardware, it also means you have to put up with substandard equipment.

The Build Your Own Arcade Controls forums have a number of user-contributed guides on how to modify the most popular console joysticks on the market with arcade-quality parts.

Here's one guide where a user has modified their HORI DOA4 XBox 360 stick by removing the cheap and nasty joystick, and replacing it with a top-quality Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y (the same joysticks that are standard in Japanese arcades and at fighting game tournaments worldwide).

The Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y are identical to the Sanwa Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT sticks on our site HERE, with the metal mounting plate removed (via the 4 screws on top of the plate).

>> Arcade Game PCBs for sale! :: Thursday 17th August 2006
GameDude Arcades now has a large range of arcade PCBs for sale.

All of our games are tested before we sell them, and if required we do repairs in house. All games are 100% guaranteed to work at time of sale, and we invite customers to come into the store and see the games for themselves working in our arcade cabinets.

Games are stored in a temperature, dust and humidity controlled room, and are stored individually in bubble wrap and cardboard boxes. We take the greatest care with our gameboards to ensure that they see a long life, free from damage.

If you're tired of risking purchases of non-working boards on eBay, check out our games list via the navigation links on the left.
